Your cake was specially made to order and quickly frozen to preserve its freshness. It is shipped the next day via air, while dry ice is included in the packaging to keep the cake at the right temperature. You might observe that the dry ice is partially melted. Upon arrival, please refrigerate the cake if you intend to serve it within the next 24 hours, or freeze it if you plan to enjoy it later.
Guidelines & Storage Recommendations
- Cakes are shipped frozen with dry ice.
- Be aware that dry ice may evaporate during transit, which could cause the product to thaw.
- Avoid handling dry ice with bare hands. We Recommend wearing oven mitts or long kitchen tongs to avoid direct contact with the dry ice.
- If the dry ice has dissipated but your cake arrived within one day of the expected delivery date, it is safe to consume!
- Upon arrival store layered cake in the refrigerator or in the freezer.
- Cakes can remain fresh up to one week in the refrigerator or up to one month in the freezer.
Prior to Serving
- If the cake is frozen, remove the plastic wrap, return it to the bakery box, and place it in the refrigerator.
- Allow the cake to thaw in the fridge overnight. Before serving, take it out of the refrigerator 2 hours in advance. Slice and enjoy!
